Jon Burgerman

-Francesca Gavin, author of Street Renegades and 100 New Artists (published by Laurence King), Visual Arts Editor for Dazed & Confused

他的作品被Victoria and Albert Museum 和The Science Museum永久典藏。

"Jon Burgerman makes vibrant, neo primitive scrawls of shapes and colour. He's pushed his monster-like characters into compositions where cartoon-like forms are crammed on top of each until they create a screaming mass of energy. Intensely prolific, he has pushed the character obsession of the late 90s into a far more interesting and strong direction. Think Walt Disney at an Incan monument on mescaline." -Francesca Gavin, author of Street Renegades and 100 New Artists (published by Laurence King), Visual Arts Editor for Dazed & Confused.

Jon's work presents ideas.  With abstraction constructed by layering, shapes and lines, Jon talks about issues going on in our world as well as some of the little things around us. Jon Burgerman has risen to be one of the prominent artists in the recent boom of modern day practitioners that work across disciplines, combining contemporary art, design, illustration and entrepreneurism. For Jon, doodling comes naturally. He is one of the most important doodlers and has come to redefine doodling. Jon's work proves that "Doodling is Art." The little monsters in his art give a vivid interpretation of modern society.

His award winning work can be seen globally from gallery walls to bedroom walls and from cinema screens to smart phone screens. A British sense
of self-deprecation, dry humor and modern-day anxiety imbues his work along with an enthusiasm for salad. Burgerman exhibits his work internationally. His work has been shown alongside artists such as Banksy, Damien Hirst, Vivienne Westwood and Gerald Scarfe. His work is collected worldwide and is in the permanent collections of The Victoria and Albert Museum and The Science Museum, both in London. Burgerman lives and works in New York and online.
